It handles repairs, installations, lighting and ceiling fans, TV and mirror mounting, smart-home devices, improvement projects and punch lists for homeowners, and single-family rental maintenance for property owners through Hands On Rental Care.
What makes it different is what happens after the work: the company keeps the details of a property rather than throwing them away, so the next visit starts with knowledge instead of guesswork.
What does 'knowing a home' actually mean here?
Most home service work is transactional. A problem shows up, someone different shows up to fix it, the ticket closes, and whatever was learned about the house in the process leaves with the contractor. Hands On is built to work differently — treating each visit as a chance to understand the house a little better, not just to complete a task and move on.
In practice, that means paying attention to details that don't always make it onto an invoice: which breaker actually controls which outlet, what brand of fixture is already installed in a room, where a previous repair was made and why. None of it is complicated. It's just information that's usually thrown away, and we'd rather keep it.
